Mr Jordan’s Funeral (2015-2016)

Mr Jordan’s Funeral: In Absence of His Memory was the first performance devised by Foxtale Ensemble, a European female theatre company founded by Judita Vivas.

Mr Jordan’s Funeral was a poetic re-imagining of death and the memories one leaves behind, all told by six women who gather at a funeral: a fictional space, both a psychic landscape and an actual event, permeated with inverted rules, clicking cups, strawberry-juice-infused sexual fantasies, childhood memories, outrageous dancing and hallucinations of a crime committed long time ago. The performance was a collage of individual scenes fusing physical movement, evocative imagery, recycled soundscapes and fragments of text - distant voices from the past and present that slip through the cracks of memory.

Performances: the University of Kent, Canterbury (2015-2016), Brighton Fringe (2016), and Camden Fringe (2016).
